Renesmee “Nessie” Cullen BlackMy name is Nessie and I’m the daughter of Bella and Edward Cullen. I live in Forks, Washington and I’ve got more family than anyone I know. There’s Grandpa Charlie, Grandma Sue, Grandpa Carlisle and Grandma Esme. Then there’s my aunts and uncles; Em, Jazz, Alice and Rose. There’s also Seth and Leah who are…I don’t know what they are to me but they’re family. And then there's Jacob. He's my husband but more than that, he's imprinted on me and I've done my own form of imprinting.

Technically, I’m seven years old. I’m half vampire and half human so I age a whole lot faster than anyone else. I’m almost fully grown, sort of like a seventeen year old human? Anyway, the best thing about it, I stop aging completely right about…well a year or so from now. No one is real specific but the other guy I met like me was 150 years old and he looked like he was in his late teens or early twenties. Oh yeah, I’m also immortal. I’m stronger and faster than anything normally human. I also need blood to live but I have to have food too.

justakid_tothem. Nessie is 'gifted'. She can touch someone and make them see a memory or her dreams or her thoughts. Edward said aptly that her power is the opposite of Bella's. Bella keeps everyone out. No one keeps Nessie out. She’s open to interaction and will gladly talk to most people. Nessie is inherently good, almost too sweet and too kind, much to Edward’s dismay.

In Twilight, Jacob describes imprinting as stronger than love at first sight. Throughout the imprinted's life, the imprintee will be whatever that person needs them to be: protector, babysitter, playmate, guardian, boyfriend etc.
